Gonzalo Martinez de Azagra

Gonzalo has over fourteen years of technology, venture capital and advisory experience. He is co-founder and Managing General Partner at Cardumen Capital, a European venture capital firm investing in deep tech in Israel.
Prior to Cardumen, Gonzalo spent four years in Korea at Samsung’s Headquarters. He then founded and lead Samsung Ventures Israel’s office. At Samsung Ventures he deployed over $120 million in capital. Notable exits include: Replay (acq. By Intel), PrimeSense (acq. by Apple), Elastifle (acq. by Google), Corephotonics (acq. by Samsung), Magisto (acq. by Vimeo), Rounds (acq. by Kik), Yume(NYSE).
He holds an Meng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College and Telecom de Paris. A Bsc from University of London, London School of Economics, and an MBA from University of California at Berkeley. Gonzalo is a Kauffman Fellow, has been ranked the top 10th Spanish Economic Leader for tomorrow by Choiseul Institute and is a Young President’s Organization member
